Aujourd'hui une façon de vous faire visiter Baudon de Mauny autrement, comme une visite en coulisses, une visite privée... Elle s'articule autour d'un fil rouge, un choix d'ornement omniprésent dans notre hôtel particulier : les papiers peints. Ils sont imposants dans certaines pièces, ou parfois utilisés par petites touches en clin d'oeil discret.
Today we propose you to show you Baudon de Mauny in an unusual way, as a backstage tour : a private tour... We choose to focus on a selection of an omnipresent ornament in our hôtel particulier : wallpapers. Some of them are large and impressive, some others are used by small touches in a discreet wink.
Pourquoi ? C'est une ornementation revisitée riche en histoire permettant de faire écho à un existant fort. Ils sont un lien et une continuité du XXIème siècle avec les ornementations d'origine très fortes du lieu : moulures et gypseries murales végétales et animales, et le sol minéral avec incrustation de coquillages fossilisés.
Why? This is a renewed ornamentation that echoes to a strong existing decoration. It is also a link and continuity of the twenty-first century with original ornamentation already in the place : vegetal and animal wall moldings or plasterwork, and mineral soil with incrustation of fossilized shells.
Les thèmes des papiers peints choisis sont quasiment tous floraux, animaux ou végétaux.
La hauteur sous plafond permet au mieux de mettre en valeur des motifs imposants et répétitifs et de créer aussi des surprises.
The themes of the wallpapers are chosen almost with flower, animal or plant patterns. The high ceiling allows the best showcase for large and repetitive patterns and also create some surprises.
La couleur du papier est choisie soit en fonction de la couleur dominante pressentie au départ pour la pièce soit c'est la couleur du papier peint qui devient la référence et l'inspiration pour l'aménagement de la pièce.
The color of the paper is chosen either according to the dominant color initially approached for the room or this is the color of the wallpaper that becomes the reference and inspiration for the room layout.
Nos références ? Nous travaillons principalement avec deux références en la matière venues d'Angleterre, Zofanny et majoritairement la maison Cole and Son (créée en 1875) qui sait si bien mêler tradition et innovation.
